Bloggers Beware!

I recently came across a site that seems to be stealing content from other bloggers. How did I find this out you ask. Simple I went in search to see if anyone had been viewing my articles that I had been a guest blogger and found them that way. I found on makemoney for the first 6 pages it is nothing but a copy and paste of Angela's blog entries, after that her entries keep appearing but there is one or two other entries by what I'm guessing is the owner of Make Money News (refuse to link it because it only helps them).

So why copy and paste? I mean if you can't think of what to write, hire a blogger to write for you. Bloggers may not always write for free but they aren't terribly expensive either. If you plan on using content, at least ask first, some of us do get paid for what we do. I know they know what a guest blogger is because they have one as well, unless that is stolen content too.

The company or website in question..... http://222domains.com/ if you try typing this into google try, "222domains" you'll get a ton of pages. No I'm not sure if every site by them are copycat sites but am wondering now.

I can't help but wonder if the people (the original bloggers that wrote it) actually know that their blog entries are being copied and people are getting paid for them. Should this be happening? What do ya'll recommend.

Currently bloggers I've found on this site are:
Angela from
Guest bloggers:
me (Homemom3)
Laura at Writing Thoughts
Another writer seems to be Alex Smith over at Homeworkezine.com
www.helloashok.com
www.rape-defense-for-women.com

Why is it wrong? First they are making money off of the things you wrote! They have GOOGLE ads in their sidebars and they made sure you couldn't contact them by not adding their email address to the contact page.

Now to end this on a weird note...maybe this blog isn't copy and pasting .... maybe they are really Ang's Secret Admirers. Kind of freaky if ya think about it but they've obviously been reading for some time. I know they began the site with Angela's post from December of 2006, it was their first post.

Would you consider this plagiarism? Is there anything these bloggers can do? Help me helpt them. While searching for something to do to help out bloggers like Angela and Alex I came across a useful site, it's called "CopyScape." To stop those that are stealing your content go to www.copyscape.com and follow the directions. This is a perfect tool for catching those THIEVES.

Unless Angela gave them permission to do this, it is definitely plagiarism.

I submitted my guest posts to Angela, not this site.
