Hit the Deck Giveaway

We’ve been talking about losing weight and childhood obesity quite a bit this past week, so I think it would be the perfect time to announce the following giveaway. While I have not actually used this product, I was asked to host a giveaway.

Powerhouse: Hit the Deck is available online for $19.99 and you get the following:
35 cards (each card has an exercise for you to do)
1 timer

In a way this sounds more like a fitness game. Draw a card, read it and hit the timer. When the timer beeps draw a new card and continue the cycle.

What will the Powerhouse Hit the Deck do for you?

•Help you to lose weight, burn fat, and add muscle tone
•Provide cardio AND weight training exercise at the same time
•Expand your ability to handle and recover from stress
•Improve your overall levels of fitness and wellness
•Allow for flexibility – workouts can be any length desired
•Offer variety by providing wide range of effective exercises
•Deliver an excellent workout with no fitness equipment
•Provide a great way to cross-train
•Improve the quality of your sleep

GIVEAWAY:
Rules: tell me one cardio exercise you hate.

Lately I have been hating jumping rope. I added that to the end of my cardio boxing routine and it’s tough.

THat question implys that I like some kind of cardio.. and I really dont. I have been trying belly dancing and pilates, but being 100lbs over weight from baby makes it hard. Maybe I could like this, Im really fond of games!

I hate running which is why I don’t do it.

I think too much running is bad for your knees and feet. I don’t know if this has been scientifically proven but I’ve known runners who end up with bad knees, ankles, and feet. I don’t like to run either, as in non-stop marathon running. I like to go for walks and sprint or maybe jog for two minutes then walk for five and do that for an hour. I don’t think you’re supposed to feel worn out after exercising. It’s supposed to make you and your body feel good.

I was talked into taking a spinning class once, disliked every, single moment of it. Not great for someone beginning a new fitness program, in my opinion. Sore for several days and felt it set me back. This deck looks like a great way to begin and stick with an exercise program, I love the idea of the timer and making it a game with my kids and myself.
