Car Died: Searching For Autoparts Now

Okay, as many of you know the car we bought umm about 6 months ago or less broke down last week on the side of the highway. OUCH right? Or should it be just our luck? Either way, we got it towed to the house on Friday and later that afternoon we found out the timing belt needs replaced.

Well, what's anyone do these days with a computer? You get online and begin searching for auto parts and hope to find not only the piece you need but a price that you can afford it. Currently it looks as if the prices range from $35-80.00 and then of course we'd have to pay someone to actually fix it.

But by planning ahead and searching out the cheapest price or finding out if there is a coupon/coupon code out there for it we can at least lower the cost of fixing it up. There is a site called, Autohausaz that actually has coupons and stuff. The AutohausAZ coupon featured right now is free shipping on orders that are $50 and up. (this could be great for someone that buys a piece and doesn't have the money to pay shipping) Autohausaz has coupons for certain car models as well, they didn't have any on Ford (which is ours) so that part didn't help but they have coupons for Toyota, BMWs, Audi, etc.

Keep in mind that when it comes time to repair a car you may want to weigh it out and figure out if it'll be cheaper to fix it up or buy new. In our case it is looking like buying a new car will be in our best interest due to having 4 kids and the time it'll take to rent a car before this gets working again.

I hope y'all are able to find a good car that will be reliable! We have a lot of bad luck with cars. But, my husband can work on them, so we don't usually have to pay for labor, only parts. Too bad you don't live nearby, we might could help you out.
