Joe's Jeans Giveaway
The Life of a Home Mom is having a BIG giveaway thanks to Joe's Jeans. For those that don't know Joe Jeans are the same type that have been seen on one of my favorite actresses, Katie Holmes. Remember her wearing them here? They want every day moms to feel beautiful.
Well Joe Jeans wants to give 5 pairs of jeans away, which is a perfect holiday gift for young or old. That's right while you'll see many adults in them they also make them for the younger crowd. I even had BalletGirl model in a pair. Don't they look cute? Now you too can be stylish and not have to spend a fortune.
According to BalletGirl, when I asked her how they felt on her:
By the way, when she went to school she told everyone she was wearing $200 jeans and that Katie Holmes had wore them. hehe. I just love her spirit.
Joe's Jeans come in a variety of different styles: Chelsea (leggings), Cigarette (straight), honey (curvy), muse (high-waist), provocateur (petite), rocker (flare), socialite (classic)and twiggy (tall). Celebrities that have worn the jeans: Lindsay Lohan, Nicky Hilton, Oprah Winfrey and even Reese witherspoon.
RULES: With the new release of "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" just released I would like you to tell me one of your favorite memories you have of jeans. You must leave an email to win and respond within 24 hours of my posting the winners or I draw a new winner.
Deadline: December 5th, I'll announce the winners at 8 p.m

When I was in high school, everyone was into the designer jeans. I never bought them because they were too expensive, but one day I found a pair of Gloria Vanderbilt jeans on clearance and finally got a pair! They fit me like a glove (which I didn't mind back then since I was super skinny...unlike now!), and I wore those jeans constantly. I can still picture them with the flared bottoms and the gold swan on the pocket. P.S. Please enter me in the jeans giveaway!
Sitting with a few friends and a new puppy on our deck, I was sporting a pair of new jeans and the darling beagle puppy leashed to my leg. All my girlfriends commented on what a grand job of dog training I was doing because the darling beagle puppy was sitting so quietly. Feeling the love, I got up to refill their libations and discovered that the darling beagle puppy had nibbled quietly the bottom of my brand new jeans. Luckily for the darling beagle puppy that frayed jeans were all the rage.
Thanks for the wonderful opportunity to enter this fabulous giveaway.

When I was in high school, shrink-to-fit Levi's were in style. You'd buy them, wash them, and they'd shrink down to your size. They fit me perfectly and I loved how soft they got as they aged. I still love well-worn jeans, well-loved jeans best. :D
I went to private school growing up an we weren't allowed to wear jeans to school. I had a favorite pair that I loved to put on when I got home.
I took my senior picture in those jeans. They were size 2, acid washed and I always pegged the cuffs at the bottom. Totally 80s.
(BTW, my post-kid, size 8 body wants to cry remembering those little size 2s!)

I kept a pair of my high school jeans in my closet, wishing, hoping that I might one day fit into them again. After many babies, it looked hopeless. Then we got a treadmill, I worked out for 7 months, and I can wear them now! cdziuba@aol.com
My favorite jeans memory is buying my first pair of expensive jeans. I was so shocked at how well they fit, and how it was almost like they were cut just for me.
I love Joes Jeans and I hope I win!!
Thanks so much for the contest!

I had a suprise bridal shower when I was wearing jeans. I still have them as a wonderful memory of that event!
I bought a pair of LA Gear jeans for a very petite young lady. They were marked a size 2, and they were too big on her. I was a size 8 at the time, and they fit me, so I kept them. The size must have been mistagged. I always wanted to figure out a way to have the size tag hang out so everyone could see I was wearing a 2.
I remember the comfort and style of the jeans growing- up- ok manly style- we went from hippie flares to bootcut and I loved those bootcut and hated flares- they got caught in the bikes and were such a mess. We couldn't wear jeans to school either but the freedom of jeans was so awesome- I even had a pair that Idecorated all my own!
I remember the first time that my mom bought me "designer" jeans in the early 80's. Money was tight at our house, so I felt soooo cool and wonderful when I put those jeans on.
I remember my first pair of designer jeans purchased with "my own" money.......I loved them so much and felt so successful! Joe's Jeans, by the way, are the best!.....perfect fit...and something for everyone.
Although I do love a good pair of designer jeans, my favorite are jeans that you have had for a while and are worn in. Maybe I like them a little too much since my last pair of comfy jeans ripped while I was wearing them! haha
My first pair of Jordache jeans was in high school and I was so excited about going to the mall to buy them, they cost 50 bucks and that was alot for jeans back then, but I wore them alot and still have one pair from over 25 yrs ago, just cant part with the memories, ( they dont fit anymore) but I still love them, I wear jeans everyday, its basically all I wear, I love jeans and really want to try these Joe jeans out, Thanks for the great giveaway, hope to win it
I remember getting cheap jeans, using sandpaper to make strategic "worn" places in them, and writing all our friends' names on our jeans with Magic markers in the 80's! My very coolest pair had neon paint splatters all over!

As a stay at home mom, I live in jeans! But my favorite jeans were my first pair of Guess jeans in 6th grade (in the 80's). I wore them until they had holes in the knees and the butt - and then kept wearing them!

I remember when Gloria Vanderbilt jeans were popular. I wanted a pair so badly and my Grandmother finally caved and bought me a pair. But the best? The day I came over to her house and caught her in her own pair!
If you didn't rollup the pant legs of the jeans, they would get caught up in the bicycle chain.
Also great for saving your legs from chafing riding a horse.

I live in jeans, as I work from home. My favorite jeans memory is being able to get into the jeans I wore 20 years ago, and loving how great they still can look. Yes, I do keep my favorite jeans forever.
I remeber my aunt taking me shopping on vacation and she bought me a pair the had pinstripes in the back and were plain on the front. THey were so cool especially since no one else had them!

nothing better than a comfortable broke in pair of jeans, brand doesn't matter as long as they are comfy!!
After having my son and putting on pair of jeans without elastic in the tummy was my favorite jean memory!
I loved being able to get back into my pre-pregnancy jeans after months of working off the extra weight!
I am old enough to remember getting to buy my first pair of jeans after growing up when women only wore dresses...swthndr@yahoo.com
I remember having a favorite pair in the 6th grade. They were tie-dye (dark blue and light blue) bell bottom jeans. I thought they were awesome at the time. :)

When I was in 9th grade, me and my best friend decided to join the boys in the field across from her house for a friendly game of tackle football. I got pushed to the ground and I was laughing so hard, I shouted, " I think I peed my pants!" My best friend hollered, " I think your wearing MY jeans!" We never laughed so hard. And it still didn't stop us from borrowing each other's clothes.
When I found out I was pregnant...17 years ago...I went to JC Penney and bought the BEST pair of jeans ever. They lasted thru TWO pregnancies...all 18 months..and after the kids were born, could not part with them they were so comfy...so although they were a bit loose in the belly (lol..not TOO loose...cause I DID get a middle aged bulge after that never went away)..I wore a sweater over them. I only parted with them when a friend was pregnant and realized that it was time to pass them on to another mom. My favorite jeans ever!
I smile every time I think about the elephant bells we wore in our college days. I think there was enough denim in them to make at least two pair!
I live by jeans when I'm not working I am wearing jeans. I had a favorite pair that I just retired this year. I got them when I was in my first year of college and they ripped at the knee this year. Those jeans were about 11 years old.
My favorite memory of jeans is the size I wore in highschool-a size 5! I don't want to say what size I wear now!

Mine isn't so much a memory as a decision--when I was getting ready to retire, I decided that I was basically going to live in jeans. I gave my office clothes to Renaissance so someone else could use them and have pretty well stuck to it. I admit there are times when jeans are not appropriate, but they are now few and far between!

I had a VERY comfy pair of GREEN PLAID jeans when I was 8- I loved them sooo much and wore them till they were high waters.
dont have a favorite memory wearing jeans except i always thought my butt looked really good in 501's.
When I was in elementary school it was all about the Jordache jeans! Had to have them! m04taes(at)verizon(dot)net
When I was little, I was sent to shool in slacks every day. Then I had to go to school in samples that my Aunt had gotten from the factory where she worked. I begged for a pair of Levi's that were all the rage and I finally got a pair for Christmas.
I wore them until I got a hole in the seat.
Thanks!

My favorite jeans are actually a pair I snitched from my brother's closet when he went off to join the army. They were so comfortable and were perfect for gardening. I still have them in the bottom of the closet. craftyblogger @ gmail dot com
Christina - xristya@rock.com - My favorite memory of jeans is being out on my own for the first time in my life, going to the university and taking English and art, feeling FREE and wearing jeans EVERYWHERE with a grand assortment of tops and blouses!
Thank you! When I was in high school I had every color of jeans imagineable. I had a purple pair I just loved. I wore them out. Thank you!

My favorite pair of jeans weren't anything special they were just so comfortable. In high school I was sitting in the back middle seat and the seatbelt thing got stuck on my pocket when I moved and ripped the whole butt.. I was devistated!
I will never forget the enormously wide pant legs that were popular among 1990s 'skater' kids. I had one pair of pants that swallowed my entire shoe and then some. You could hold a lot of things in those pockets though. Good thing because that was pre-purse carrying era.
When I was in highschool jeans were real low and called hiphuggers. My Mom hated them but I loved mine and embroidered an apple onto mine. Don't know what ever happened to them!
I had some real great Guess boyfriend jeans but sadly I'm not a size 5 anymore so I got rid of them.
Cool contest!
When I was in Junior High Bell Bottoms were in. Yet, it wasn't just bell bottoms, but they had to be torn (i.e. cut by scissors by yourself). Of course, my parents would never approve of cutting an expensive pair of jeans! Similarly to the Sisterhood girls, my friend who was also much more well-off than my family, shared a pair of her cool torn bell bottom jeans with me! She gave them to me to wear and then she would wear them sometimes too. Now that I think about it, she was about 3 inches taller than me and I don't know how the jeans fit us both. I think when I wore it, it dragged on the floor more. But that look was still cool then so we didn't think anything of it. That's my closest to the Sisterhood jeans memory I have!

I was at Marshall's and saw a pair of Lee Jeans for 5 bucks! I then realized why; they had lots of rust stains. I took my chance however and bought them...I treated the stains with lemon juice and then set it out in the sun to bleach them out! It worked! SO I got a pair of fabulous jeans that fit me (I am hard to fit) for a bargain!

I came across a pair of Seven for All Mankind jeans at a discount outlet and bought them on a whim. I got them home, tried them on, and could not believe how much better they made my butt look. They are my go out and look cute jeans!
In high school I bought a pair of "going out" Mavi's that fit so amazingly well. I only wish I could find another pair like them...

my favorite memory is trying on my first pair of designer jeans and how perfectly they fit.. it was like they were made for me. I have been hooked ever since
I have fond memories of my levis from high school,in fact I still have them even though after four kids they don't fit. I just can't get rid of them.
I've always loved jeans, whether it be looking for that right pair of Guess jeans when I was in Elementary school, to falling in love with my Tommy Hilfigers which I've glitzed up with stars; jeans are part of my identity. One of my favorite memories though is when my mom returned home from Disney World with a pair of embellished Mickey Mouse jeans. I wore those things out! Even after that, I still couldnt give them up. They've since been cut up, with the decorations & patches used to adorn a purse & the pockets used as such for the purse. I've gotten so many great compliments on it, people wanting to know where I bought it! So I tell them the story of my favorite jeans, and how they'll always be with me!
When I was around 10 I begged and begged my mom for Guess! jeans. They cost easily $40 a pair and she really fought me on it, but I eventually got a pair for Christmas.
That spring I wore them roller skating, wiped out, and tore holes in the knees. She was so upset with me. It was okay -- I kept wearing them and in another year or so, ripped jeans became the big "thing"!

Favorite memory is just plain wearing the brand new stiff jeans long enough that they became soft and pliable like a second skin---then as they grew thinner (usually in the knees) and more feeble making those drastic cuts to extend their life into a pair of comfy cut-offs!
My first pair or at least the first pair I recall - they were straight leg and we cuffed the bottoms and it was back in the 50's - I think I wore them with a madras shirt and I recall the boy who kissed me under the tree in the backyard of my parents house - funny that I remember those jeans!!
When I was a teen, designer jeans were all the rave. One of the most popular jeans were the one's with the holes and patches but they cost about $80. My mom, being ever resourceful, took some jeans she got at Kmart (they were pretty cheap) and through them in the washer with a lot of bleach. She did this several times and then cut some holes, and used some fabric from the "rag bag" as patches. I had four pair of "designer" jeans and no one was the wiser. Thanks for giving us this opportunity.
I was a girly girl growing up and didn't like jeans (my mom would buy them, I wouldn't wear them) and never really got into wearing jeans until after I had kids. It quickly became clear that with young kids, dress slacks and skirts and dresses didn't work so well. So I went on a quest to find jeans that fit well and started wearing jeans. I can't tell you how many little hands and faces have wiped themselves across my jeans legs. I am now comfortable wearing jeans ans will forever associate wearing them with snuggling and playing with little ones.
When I was in high school, I can remember saving my money and buying a pair of Used Jeans. They were like $60 or $70 which was very expensive then. I was so excited and proud. My daughter has a pair of Joe's Jeans and I'd LOVE to win a pair. Thanks for the great contest! jilshan98@yahoo.com
I rarely wear them. I have an hour glass shape and pockets add pound back there so it's hard to find any that fit and are comfortable. If these do I'd shoud to the hills
One of my favorite memories of Jeans is my husband jamming himself into my jeans for halloween. He had some tight pants that day!
I remember my friend in middle school had jeans so tight, she had to lie down to zip them up (this was in the very early 80s). My mom would never have let me wear anything like that.
I remember being 22 or 23 and going to an outside concert. I was dancing to the music, thinking I looked pretty good in my jeans, and the sound guys must have thought so too because they invited me to sit with them in the sound booth. I love to feel special.
It would probably be the first pair of jeans I bought with money from my first job. I still have em and amazingly they still fit haha.
My mom standing in line early in the morning to get me a pair of Girbaud Jeans. I loved those jeans and got them in every color.
When I was in high school (way back in the day), nobody made jeans for girls. We bought boys levis, put them on and sat in a tub of hot water to shrink them to fit. (They never did fit quite right, but they were better than no jeans at all.) I'm truly amazed at how good a pair of designer jeans make you look and feel these days and I'd love to win a pair.
The first time I wore skinny jeans would be my favorite memory. I never quite liked the style until I actually tried it out--they felt awesome! Now they're my favorite fit of jeans to wear.
One of the best jean memories I have is one night I had no "cool" jeans to go out in. When I say go out I mean like to a night club with my friends. So yeah, I had nothing to wear, although ladies say that with a closet full of clothes.LOL..Well, since "i had nothing to wear" I went into my little sisters room and snagged a few of her jeans(sz.5). Mind you, she is way smaller then I am and I just knew that her jeans wouldn't fit. But I tried anyway and I slipped right in to them!! I was so shocked but I loved it beacause they fit just right. :) That wont happen now for sure though since she's a size freakin 0!! ugh I hate her!! LOL She has NO KIDS btw..LOL
I remember I had flower print jeans in junior high. I thought I was so cool and they were so darn ugly
I remember getting my very first pair of 'cool' jeans as a teenager in the '80's. I was so thrilled to get a pair of Calvin Klein jeans with the loops on the back pocket. I stared at my butt in the mirror far too often!
A few years ago, I came across some jeans from high school in a drawer at my parents house. I put them on...and they fit! OK, it was a squeeze, and the zipper was bulging, but still!

I LOVE jeans!!!
I had this pair in high school that were PERFECT. They fit me perfectly and were SO soft and worn in. I remember the day I got into my car and the left knee completely ripped open! I was so sad. I still wore them until I just couldn't anymore, but I still think about those jeans. I have never been able to find a pair that fit me that well.

I went to a private school and had to wear a uniform every day. I remember rushing home, ditching the drab blue jumper and white blouse, and jumping into my favorite jeans. I had the same pair forever! I wore them even after the knees blew out. Finally gave up when the seat went too! I'm still a jeans girl who rushes home from work to jump into my favorite jeans...

My favorite memory of jeans was doing the peg leg. Fold the leg over at the bottom and roll it up twice. Come on, you know you did it to! duncanmojito@yahoo.com
My favorite memory of jeans is fitting into a smaller size! Seriously though, I remember when my aunt took me to the mall and I got a pair of designer jeans. I wore those things out fast because I wore them so much. Luckily by that time the ripped jeans were in style so I still looked cool.
Now this is telling my age. Way back, my favorite Jeans were a pair of white French Cuts. They were expensive so at that time we would travel to a factory in Vancouver to buy them at a good discount.

One of my perhaps less finer moments when it comes to jeans was back about 11 years ago when I was in High School. I always loved to wear really cool hot looking jeans. My parents wouldn't allow me to wear them to school, so like the determine young girl that I was I snuck them in my backpack and would change into them once I got to school. This one day I was wearing (apparently) a pair of jeans that my French Teacher, who was actually German, thought were a little too low rise, and a little too tight, and when I walked into the classroom with them on he started yelling at me in half English half German about how awful the jeans were and how I should not be allowed to wear them! Can you imagine my shock, disbelief, and not really embarassment, but more sort of laughing at him because what the heck, I didn't speak German, it was French class for heavens sake! The kids in the class started laughing too, not at me, but at him. It was sort of a joke around school that day, but for some reason, I never wore those jeans to school again! I guess something deep inside me felt a little guilty for wearing them in the first place against my parents rules! See, I wasn't such a bad kid afterall! I wonder what my French teacher would think about Joe's Jeans??? I know one thing, I have always wanted to own a pair of Joe Jeans. They have so many really cool pairs and designs. It would become my dream pair of jeans! I still live in jeans so I know I would wear them all the time. Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter and share my story!

I remember when in high school Levi's jeans were the thing to have and if you wanted to be cool, you'd better have a red tag on the back pocket instead of orange. I remember when I got my first pair of red tag Levi's. That was my moment in time.
M favorite pair of jeans is an old pair of Levi's 501s. First of all, the botton fly is the best. They never go out of style and grow with character each year. Been with me through my preppie days, my grunge days, my soccer mom days. Still break them out now and then and give me a sentimental feeling.

I'm one of your older readers here and vividly remember my "hippie" jeans. We weren't allowed to wear jeans to school and I got a huge petition going and we were finally allowed to wear jeans as long as they weren't frayed or torn. I'm on the 1st page of my Senior yearbook walking into school with my peanut jeans on. I was a rebel back then and guess that I'm still a bit of a rebel.
I would love to win these great jeans for my niece.
Thanks for the nice giveaway and the memories of days gone by.

My mom was so against brand-name anything when I was a kid. I was so excited the first time in 8th grade when I got to buy an actual pair of Levi jeans!
When I was in school, bell bottoms were the "in" thing. Wow, it's nice remembering when the only concern was that the jean leg bottoms were too big.
My favorite jeans memory was in the early 90's and I was in junior high. All the popular girl were wearing Pepe jeans and I wanted my own pair so much. I mentioned this to my aunt who I was very close to and she surprised me by taking me to the mall and buying me my own pair. I felt so special and I still love to remind my aunt of how great she made me feel that day.
My parent's bought us Hee Haw Jeans (and Overalls) when I was 4 or 5 years old. They were hilarious! And, looking back, they're still my favorites!

I remember wearing elephant bells when I was in Jr. High. Walking down the school hallway, the jeans would make a loud swishing noise. Everyone had big bells at the time, so it always sounded like an army moving between classes.
I was a teenager in the 80's, so of course I wore tight ripped jeans. My best friend and I would take turns helping each other zip them up by laying on the bed and putting a hanger in the hole on the zipper lol
My jeans memory is from wayyyyy back when the Levis store sold jeans in my size. I'm 4'11" so I can never find jeans short enough anymore. They used to sell Levis in 26" lenghth and they fit me perfect. Now they're always too long. If I had known they were going to stop selling them in a 26" lenghth, I would have bought a lifetime supply back then.

My favorite memory of jeans is the size I wore in highschool-a size 0! It was back in the early 70's and we all wore hip hugger bell bottoms that dragged on the ground. In the winter by the time we got to school you couldn't even see the bottom of the pants anymore since they'd have about a foot of snow caked on them.
i had this pair of jeans that i loved and wore all the time and one day i felt a lump in the hem..it was a frog i dont know how the hell he got in there..lol
Girbaud jeans were really in when I was in grade school, but I didn't own a pair (too pricey!). I borrowed a pair for the last day of school and I kept hearing, "You look so cute in Girbaud!" Now I laugh! Honestly, they are just jeans. I had finally met the minimum "cool meter" requirement. lol

I have these jeans that i love so much, however they're so worn out that whenever i sit down they continue to rip even more, so basically now my butt is hanging out the back, very sexy, NOT! hahaha
When I was in high school we weren't allowed to wear jeans to school. It was thrilling to be able to wear jeans to my first college class. It was such freedom.
My silvertabs my boyfriend bought me! Loved them and wore them until they fell apart!! LOL
