It's Brain Awareness Week, did you know that? How will you show your child to use their brains? There are all types of fun games for chlidren to do to exercise their brains, however getting them off to a healthy start in the morning is another. With that being said I have a giveaway for ya'll.

I've taught my kids that sugar is only for special occasions, so they always ask me if a treat has sugar before they ask for it. They enjoy helping me locate organic foods in the grocery store. The younger one is just learning to read, so he had fun learning to recognize the word "organic" on the packages.
I instilled in them from early on which foods gave them energy and which foods robbed them of energy. It seems like a better route to go than saying some foods will make them fat.
Healthy eating is very important. Anything that you eat should be ate in portions. Spending time outside and respecting nature is expected.

WE eat healthfully to show our sone a good example- only treats on special occassions. We also make sure to get some exercise everyday as well as puzzles, playing games, reading and art to encourage learning=)
We are eating more healthfully now. I don't buy all the junk food (never bought a lot, but it was more than we should have had). We eat TONS of organic baby carrots now. :) Plus we homeschool, so their brains are exercised daily. And we love Thursdays as they are family game nights at our local game store. So we hang out with other families and play games all night.
We keep our brains healthy at our house by reading. Lots and lots of books.
