Bone, Bones and More Bones

"Bone" has entered my household and he's done it in full force. What is "Bone" ya'll ask? Well I thought it was just a story at first but upon closer look it seems to be a comic book. I have no clue what it is about but my 10 year old is hooked on them, he brings them home from his library day and opens the book and can't be drawn out until it is finished. I mean it, yesterday I tried "how about going out to eat?" and even lets watch a show. Hey I rented him a movie he requested and here I was having to watch it by myself.

Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled he's a book lover. But I have no clue what it is about this book. This morning, BalletGirl got a hold of the book and finished it in an hour. Someone please tell me what it is about this book.

A few weeks back I heard a mom and her kid going frantic when they couldn't find a "Bone" book. I had no clue what they were talking about, I know Magic Tree House, Harry potter and even Magic School bus. But a Bone I had no clue. It seemed that they found a whole aisle of the Bone book.

Bone has a lot of books in the series, it is (I think) a comic book written by Jeff Smith. I'm actually thinking of getting the series but was wondering if any of you knew whether Volume One was all the books or not? Please let me know.

Hi there!

I'd say your child is the perfect age to be reading Bone. Bone is an adventure in the form of a graphic novel. The three Bone brothers enter the Valley and end up getting caught up in the war between the rats and the rest of the Valley.

It's quite funny, sweet, and enjoyable. It also has a couple additional books about what happened before the Bone brothers. ("Rose" might be a bit adult for young readers, though.)

Bone is about...nine books long? I can't quite remember. If you get the individual books, then you get the covers and all the pages are in colour. If you get the big book - which is all of the books together - it's cheaper, but the pages are black and white. (I have the first book and the big book.)

Take a look at them. :) I found them at 19 and quite enjoyed them.
